Many residents will be aware that one of Wynyar’s “Book Huts” is situated on the Wynd just 100 yards east of the Village pond.
It has been a mini-library for many years, containing hundreds of books across a wide range of genres.
It appears to be rarely used and can only be accessed by obtaining the code for the locking mechanism.
This has been useful for monitoring its use.
It has been suggested that it may be better utilised as a central storage facility for the WRA and events team, which has now taken on responsibility for its upkeep from the Wynyard (S’ton) Parish Council.
